Coal mine Lazy
Since 1996, the company SYSTHERM has dealt with the manufacture, supply and installation of heat sources and the distribution of technical systems in buildings. Beginning of 2012, SYSTHERM searched together with thermowave for a solution to connect the existing heating circuit of the coal mine Lazy with the district heating network of DALKIA-Karviná.
The core business of the DALKIA Group in the Czech Republic is the production, distribution and supply of heat and energy. The Group serves more than 260,000 households in the regions of Moravia-Silesian, Olomouc, Central Bohemia, Karlovy Vary and Prague with district heating.
Three module-welded thermowave plate heat exchangers of the product line thermoline Vario TL 650 KDKL were used for integrating the heating cycle into Lazy. The apparatuses are designed for a pressure up to 25 bar and have the whole power of 22,000 kW.
Module-welded plate heat exchangers are well-suited for this type of application because it usually compensates pressure and temperature variations without any issues.
thermowave is a market leader in process technology and has recorded a continuous growth. In addition, more and more projects have been implemented in cooperation with industrial key players who have already benefited many times from thermowave’s know-how.
Not only the compensation of pressure and temperature fluctuations was extremely challenging, but also the generation of such a high performance. To be convinced of the sustainable thermowave products, the plate heat exchangers have been tested in advance by DALKIA for one year. This and a reliable and professional design stage completed the thermowave profile and convinced the DALKIA Group.
